1. Who we are

In-Hand ("we," "us," "our") operates the free Ireland take-home salary calculator at in-hand.net/ie. This policy explains what personal data we process about visitors to the Ireland calculator, on what legal basis, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.1 If you sign in

Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account — we never see or store your password. Legal basis: consent (you initiate sign-in) and contract (running your account).

2.2 Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies (session, CSRF protection) and browser local storage (e.g. your theme preference). We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, so no non-essential cookie consent banner is required.

3. Data retention

Calculation and page-view records are retained for 90 days, then deleted. Bot-detection and error logs are retained for 30 days. Account data (if you signed in) is retained until you request deletion.

4. International transfers

Our infrastructure runs on servers based in Singapore, outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred there, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards to keep it protected to GDPR standards.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
